Founders Julia Baldaro and Mae-Lin DeLange initially met in first year, during two of their second semester classes (managerial accounting and organizational behaviour). Currently, they are second-time housemates (and friends to boot!).
Mae-Lin, also known as Mae, switched around her classes to better fit her schedule. After weeks of sitting next to each other in the front row, they finally began talking and realized they didn’t just tolerate each other, they liked each other. Eventually, this meet cute culminated in Mae telling Julia that she was still looking for a house and Julia revealing that she had a group of people who were still potentially looking for someone to live with.
Their friendship truly blossomed in second year, amidst late-night Metro-runs, Mae cooking for Julia, and supporting each other through thick and thin. In third year, Mae could not stand the thought of not being with Julia...so she followed her to Paris, Copenhagen, and ROME! (Clingy, right?) Today, in fourth year, they live together again in the same second year house. From strangers to housemates, this is how you do it!
